Feed The Birds |  Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews)

We’ve listened to it all night long. So, since I wasn’t home to post it yesterday I thought I’d do so now.

Happy 111th Birthday Uncle Walt! :’)

Here’s quite a few pictures from last week..

  • Quotable Walt Disney: It finally came in the mail! Now, I’ve just gotta wait for my other Disney books..
  • I didn’t know what to do with mah hurrrr, so I took some pictures! ;P
  • Autumn is in the air, & leaves are beginning to turn.
  • The BEST purchase I’ve made all season. Pumpkin Spice air freshener! It’s pretty legit.
  • I love when it plays on the radio; GANGNAM STYLE! ;D
  • Attempting to give myself a mani/pedi.

Here’s the first random batch of instaspam from our last couple of trips down to Disneyland. I went a little snap crazy so I’ve got like three more photosets to post before I’m completely done with these..

Welp, here yah go!

  • green tea latte on our drive over
  • Walt in front of the castle.
  • Pirates of the Caribbean!
  • Frankenfussion lemonade @ the Frankenweenie Art Exhibit.
  • Jolly Holiday.
  • the view from the train @ my favorite station; New Orleans Square!
  • little cat.
  • looking out @ the parks from the parking structure
  • Union Jack

It’s the most wonderful time of the year..

The first Mickey Mouse balloon was a collaborative effort between Walt Disney and Macy’s Tony Sarg, who years earlier applied the principles of marionette puppetry to invent the type of parade balloons we know today. This Mickey was easily one of the biggest that Disney had produced yet, hand-painted and measuring in at 40 feet tall (the star on his chest is a nod to the Macy’s logo).

Mickey was led in the parade by a team of 25 handlers who were festively dressed in Mickey/Minnie costumes. A smaller Pluto balloon, a 34-foot-tall Big Bad Wolf, a 31-foot-tall Little Pig, and a 12 ½-foot-tall Horace Horsecollar followed along in the 1934 procession.

I never pay enough attention to the signs & architecture when I’m walking down Main Street; so on our visit last week I noticed this sign. I think it’s rather cute!

“Remember… Dreams Come True”

This is, & forever will be my all time FAVORITE fireworks show! It’s by far the best show & it incorporates so many different things into it.. I mean they’ve got almost all my favorite rides & movies in it! I love it so much, it always brings a tear to my eye. I just wish they’d bring this back since I’m not a very big fan of “Magical”.

I LOVE THE NEW ENTRANCE FOR DCA!!!!!!

It’s absolutely perfect.

Don’t get me wrong, I miss the letters & the fact that the golden gate bridge is gone makes me kind of sad.. But the new entrance is just beautiful. It completely reminds me of “Meet the Robinsons” which is one of my all time favorite movies so it’s all just so wonderful! I’m excited to have finally seen the turnstyles with the wall down & actually be able to take a picture of it; even if it’s only one with my droid. I seriously can’t wait to see how the rest of it turns out.. I’m so excited! ;]

What to do when you get home from Disneyland:

  • shower | nothing feels better than a great shower after a long day..
  • soak your feet | yes I know you just took a shower but if you’re doing 16+ hour days @ the park your feet will thank you!
  • ice cold/warm drink | obviously depending on how hot or cold it was at the park..
  • pop in your favorite Disney movie | no reason for the magic to end just cause you’ve gone home!
  • DON’T worry about putting stuff away | e.i. souveniors, stuff you took with you, clothes, worry about organizing all that tomorrow.
  • take a pain killer | if you feel any soreness it will definitely help out how you’ll be feeling in the morning.
  • drink plenty of water | chances are you might have been a bit dehydrated with all the running around.
  • throw on comfy clothes | usually baggy sweats & a tee for me..
  • SLEEP | chances are you’ll K.O. as soon as you get home, but if you’re anything like me (an insomniac) you might have to put effort into getting some rest; your body really needs it.

Reblog if you love Disneyland!
